Job Description: Our Opportunity:     Chewy is currently recruiting for an   Automated Maintenance Technician II   at our Belton, MO Fulfillment Center!   We are delighted to   provide   the opportunity to apply your outstanding experience to support the fast-paced operations of our multifaceted fulfillment center environment.    Additionally, you will develop new and valuable skills and experience in   growing   world of e-commerce fulfillment operations.   This position will have a wide variety of facilities, maintenance, and utilities requirements across our large fulfillment center.     What   you'll   do:     • Maintain, clean, lubricate, calibrate, and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) on site (including conveyor systems, sortation systems, carton rectors, print and apply, compactors/balers) and motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, encoders, etc.   • Adjust scanners, cameras, scales, and printer applicators (PANDA)    • Reset, repair, or replace adjustable components (belts, chains, cables) and wearing components (guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys)    • Use   appropriate job   plans, procedures, and manuals    • Assist   with basic electronics/ Programmable Logic Controls troubleshooting    • Operate handheld devices or desktop PC to build and close Work Orders with   appropriate data   (labor hours, downtime, problem/cause/remedy, and parts used)    • Develop and   maintain   positive working relationships across all levels of our organization    • Follow   appropriate safety   procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while   maintaining   equipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.), and ensure a safe work environment by   eliminating   potential equipment safety hazards    What   you’ll   need:     Physical Demands (perform with or without reasonable accommodation):    • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head    • Walking within and around our site with excellent frequency (Up and down several flights of stairs) and stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours    • Ability to climb ladders safely and without limitation, and work off platforms and equipment at significant heights    • Full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists, eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)    • Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and or uneven surfaces    Qualifications:    • PC   proficiency   and ability to use handheld devices    • Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring    • Experience in work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance procedures, Industrial Controls and Electronics, troubleshoot basic Input/Output functions    • Basic blueprint and schematic reading and metal fabrication and welding    • Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs    • High school diploma or equivalent required    Desired Qualifications:    • Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field, and/or 3-5 years hands on   previous   experience in related field.    • Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls    • Experience with MHE safety standards    We offer the following benefits for Team Members:   • 20%   Chewy.com   Discount   • Medical, Dental, Vision,   FSA   and HSA (eligibility on the 1st of the month following date of hire)   • Life and Disability Insurance   • 401(k) with company matching   • Wellness benefits through Wellbeing @Chewy   • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)   • Paid Time Off: Team Members are eligible to   accrue   up to   80 hours   of PTO their first year   • Subsidized child, adult, and pet backup care through   Care.com   • Discounts on many items through the   LifeMart   Discount platform   • The   option   to sign up for   Payactiv’s   Earned Wage Access program and access a   portion   of the money   you’ve   already   earned, before   your regular payday!   • Opportunity for wage increases starting after 3-months of service   • Referral Bonuses - $500 per referral   Chewy is an equal opportunity employer.
