<li>Work with a team of talented engineers and product managers to drive growth, solve user problems, and deliver operational excellence. </li>
<li>Collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines, time zones, and across the company to achieve the best outcomes for our users. </li>
<li>Build the plans, rhythm, and support for your team to deliver its best work. </li>
<li>Contribute to the broader Tax Engineering organization through technical leadership, process and tooling improvements. </li>
<li>Lead, coach, retain, and recruit engineers on the team. </li>
<li>Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team.</li>

<h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3>
<p>Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus ten (10) years of experience in Software Engineering, of which, at least 5 years must be post bachelor's progressive experience.</p>
<p>Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:</p>
<ul>
<li>Managing, building and leading engineering teams delivering software products;</li>
<li>Applying hands-on technical expertise at scale to guide architecture and technical strategy resolutions in collaboration with staff engineers;</li>
<li>Designing, delivering, and operating business critical services at scale;</li>
<li>User-facing product, front-end and back-end services, scaling database systems, and API design on a team of 4- 8 engineers;</li>
<li>Designing and building services in monolithic and multi service architectures; and</li>
<li>Devops and operational ownership, from standing up observability posture through managing and iterating on operational rigor and on call health.</li>
</ul>
<p>Salary: $274,456 - $321,800/yr.</p>
<p>This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.</p>
<p>40 hrs/week</p>
<p>100% Telecommuting permitted.</p>
