Packaging Operator Apprentice- Day Shift

description the packaging operator apprentice is an entry-level position designed to develop employees into skilled packaging line operators within a seafood manufacturing environment. the apprentice will gain hands-on experience in packaging operations, equipment functionality, line setup, and production processes while participating in structured training programs. employees in this role are expected to achieve proficiency in various training levels related to line operation and demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, food safety, and operational excellence. essential duties and responsibilities reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities . some of the duties and responsibilities may include: shows capacity to assemble, set up, and disassemble production line equipment has knowledge of production equipment and operation maintains production equipment before, during, and after operation continuously monitors operation of equipment and quality of the product complies with company safety, quality, sop, haccp and gmp guidelines other duties as assigned requirements available to work a schedule of monday through thursday, approximately 6:30am-5:00pm, overtime as required some mechanical and/or machine operator experience preferred high school diploma or equivalent preferred able to repetitively lift 50 pounds mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools demonstrates a high level of precision, accuracy and alertness good decision making skills ability to use a pallet jack and/or dolly king & prince seafood offers a competitive benefits package consisting of: health insurance w/ prescription drug plan dental insurance vision insurance hsa or fsa short & long term disability insurance life and ad&d wellness program eap holiday and vacation paid time off 401(k) access to: critical illness, accident, and travel assistance insurance
