Gundersen Health System is seeking a RN, Professional Development Nurse (Nurse Educator) supporting the La Crosse Main Campus Surgery Center/Operating Room. This is your opportunity to work in a highly adaptable and mission driven organization while doing the work you love in the beautiful Coulee region.     What you will do: • 1.0 FTE, salaried role • Lead nursing orientation, education, competency, and professional development for Registered Nurses, Certified Surgical Technicians, Certified Surgical Assistants, Peri-Op Technicians and Certified Nursing Assistants who work in the surgery environment. This position will be the second PDN to support the surgical services line.  • Evaluate nursing practice, assess practice gaps, identify learning needs, participate in process improvement projects and initiatives both within area of responsibility and at the system level • Prepare frontline staff with the knowledge and skills to provide high quality care and outstanding care experience in a supportive, professionally satisfying environment • Work closely with amazing teams: • Operating Room Leadership Teams (Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Quality Improvement staff). • Surgery & Procedures Nursing Practice Subgroup (4 other Professional Development Nurses and an Informatics Nurse)     What you will get: • $89,086-$134,368/year (salary based off of your years of experience) • Meaningful work in a highly adaptable and mission-driven organization • Partnership and collaboration with a team of 40+ professional development nurses • Gundersen's generous compensation and benefit package, including our top-rated retirement plan • Growth opportunities and access to Gundersen's Career Development Center to help you navigate your career   What you need: • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required • Master’s degree in Nursing required within 5 years • Minimum 3-years of RN experience in Surgery/OR service area.  • RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin   Emplify Health, a partnership of Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System, is a leading not-for-profit, patient-centered healthcare network based in Green Bay and La Crosse, Wisconsin.
