Job description

Job Summary: Completes repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under supervision We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in (Wichita, KS). Will make an impact in the following ways: • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products • Maintain own tools In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: • Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics • Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality • Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources. • Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.  • Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts. • Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software   • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products • Maintain own tools -    This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing. -    A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire -    Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older Education, Licenses, Certifications:  Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution  Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.  Experience:  Minimal level of work shop experience required Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
