Mohs Histotechnician

Job Summary and Responsibilities Location: Elkhorn Dermatology Clinic Schedule: PRN - As Needed - Clinic Schedule: Monday-Friday, No weekends required Essential Key Responsiblities: • Specimen handling and processing including gross, embed, cut, stain and coverslip specimens for microscopic evaluation by the surgeon following established policies and procedures. • Prepare and evaluate stains, reagents and solutions necessary for slide prep following established policies and procedures. • Perform quality control and preventative maintenance procedures to assure instruments, stains and procedures are within acceptable standards by taking corrective action if necessary and notifying lab director/licensed health care practitioner. • Assist with quality assurance and proficiency testing following established policies and procedures. • Assists with regulatory compliance by maintaining accurate records. • Complete yearly competency testing. • Adhere to OSHA, CLIA and HIPPA regulations.
