Welder Fabricator

The Welder Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components and structures to support assembly shop production. This role reads blueprints/specs, performs MIG/TIG/stick welding as required, fabricates brackets, skids, and structural assemblies, and ensures finished work meets quality and safety standards. Occasional support to panelshop/electrical fab needs may be required. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine fabrication specs • Perform welding (MIG, TIG, stick as applicable) on steel, aluminum, or other materials per job requirements • Fabricate structural components: brackets, skids, frames, enclosures, mounts • Cut, grind, and finish metal parts to required tolerances • Inspect completed work for quality, structural integrity, and spec compliance • Maintain welding equipment and shop tools; report maintenance needs • Follow all safety protocols (PPE, ventilation, fire prevention, equipment handling) • Collaborate with assembly team to meet production schedules • Provide occasional fabrication support to panelshop/electrical department as needed JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Proven experience as a welder-fabricator (certification preferred, e.g., AWS) • Proficiency in MIG/TIG/stick welding methods • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings • Experience with hand/power tools (grinders, cutters, drills, etc.) • Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset • Physical ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, work in shop conditions • Experience fabricating industrial equipment, skids, or enclosures • Familiarity with structural steel and sheet metal work • Forklift/crane operation experience BENEFITS: • Competitive Salary + bonus • 401(k)/ Retirement savings • Comprehensive Benefits (medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage) • Career growth opportunities • Paid vacation/holidays Work Environment: • Shop-based, exposure to noise, fumes, and heat • PPE required at all times
