Receiving Clerk (day shift)

description about the role tower extrusions, llc. is a privately owned aluminum extrusion company that has been in business for over 40 years. we have seen tremendous growth over that time and are looking to add to our team at our wylie, tx location. we are hiring a receiving clerk to inspect and document incoming material at our wylie, tx facility. this role verifies loads against packing lists, documents any damage, and flags discrepancies to keep our receiving records accurate. key responsibilities • coordinate with the shipping supervisor on loads scheduled to be received • inspect loads before and during unloading, documenting any damage with photos • compare received material to the packing list, including die, finish, length, and piece count • photograph bundles, pallets, and racks along with tickets, and upload to the shared drive • report damage and paperwork discrepancies to respective departments or shippers • email the customer's csr when discrepancies are found in material received • cover the shipping clerk position when needed • assist with additional tasks as assigned by the shipping supervisor or manager what we offer • weekly pay • medical, dental, and vision benefits • 401(k) retirement plan • holiday and vacation pay requirements requirements • previous receiving, warehouse, or quality inspection experience preferred • strong attention to detail for verifying material against paperwork • comfortable with photo documentation and shared drive uploads • able to work on the receiving floor and communicate discrepancies clearly • this role is not desk-only; expect regular time outdoors on the shipping/receiving dock and yard.
