Job description

description it is the responsibility of this position to provide the overall project specification, design, and coordination to produce gas processing equipment, modular skids, and/or systems. this position is responsible for the specification of the instrumentation and control systems portion of the assigned projects. it is the goal of the position to help establish gastech engineering as the highest value-added provider of energy equipment solutions in the markets, and for the customers we serve. principal duties and responsibilities : the responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: responsible for preparing the instrument, controls, and electrical (ice) engineering, design data, and calculations for equipment and systems. responsible for generation of p&id bills of material (bom’s), and/or isa datasheets. responsible for generation of the electrical and control systems portions of projects. as required, participate in and contribute to project proposal preparation including p&id development. assist in factory acceptance testing (fat), and/or performance testing of gastech manufactured systems in the shop as well as providing field assistance, overseeing field installations, commissioning, and start-up. assist in the check-out of control systems and panels at the 3rd vendor’s facility. prepare and review plc/dcs programs. responsible for generation of electrical control panel design, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams. working directly with the shop or outsourced suppliers on the construction of equipment. requirements knowledge, skills and abilities: the position requires a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in instrumentation, controls, and electrical, or equivalent. previous experience with manufacturing shop operations is preferred. advanced technical proficiency with electrical and controls design software programs and technical tools, as well as microsoft office software is required. proficient analytical and problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail while remaining creative and innovative is required. the ability to competently communicate regarding the resources process and electrical concepts to both internal and external customers is required. must possess the ability to maintain sustained attention and concentration while performing detailed technical work. must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment requiring consistent focus and accuracy. must possess the ability to perform work that requires a high level of attention to detail over extended periods of time. must possess the ability to remain consistently engaged in assigned work and responsive to project needs throughout the workday. the ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality is required. the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines utilizing excellent time management skills is required. strong and effective verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are required. physical environment: our office provides common office equipment such as computers, printers, and copiers for staff to use as needed. routine work and staff interactions within our office environment occur daily. the ability to withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer is required long hours on a keyboard require fine dexterity use of hands/fingers for sustained periods of time. natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception. must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. must be able to follow all safety protocols while in our shop area.
