The Outbound Sales Specialist is responsible for engaging prospective and existing customers through outbound calls and other approved outreach channels. This role identifies customer needs, explains LegalZoom products and services, and guides customers toward solutions that support their personal or business goals.
The ideal candidate is motivated by results, comfortable conducting consultative sales conversations, and committed to delivering a professional customer experience on every interaction. This is a full-time, regular, on-site position (40 hours per week) and is not designated as work-from-home. It is an on-site contact-center sales role that requires extended periods of computer and phone use and the ability to stay focused and engaged throughout the scheduled workday.
Success will be measured by the ability to consistently create meaningful customer conversations, identify appropriate solutions, achieve sales and productivity goals, maintain high-quality documentation, and deliver a trusted customer experience.
You will
• Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers using assigned leads, campaigns, and follow-up opportunities.
• Build rapport quickly and use discovery questions to understand customer needs, goals, and challenges.
• Clearly explain relevant LegalZoom products, services, and value propositions.
• Recommend solutions that align with customer needs while meeting sales and quality expectations.
• Overcome objections and confidently guide customers through the next steps in the buying process.
• Accurately document customer interactions, outcomes, and follow-up activities in required systems.
• Meet or exceed individual performance goals, including sales, conversion, productivity, and quality metrics.
• Follow approved sales processes, compliance requirements, and customer experience standards.
• Manage follow-up activities and maintain an organized pipeline of opportunities.
• Participate in coaching, training, team meetings, and ongoing product or process education.
• Collaborate with leaders and cross-functional partners to resolve customer questions and improve sales outcomes.
You have
• Previous sales, outbound calling, and contact center experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to build trust and establish rapport over the phone.
• Comfortable working in a goal-oriented, performance-driven environment.
• Ability to manage multiple customer interactions and follow-up responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn customer relationship management and sales systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation habits.
