description company overview: whirlwind steel is a premier metal building manufacturer specializing in the design, fabrication, and delivery of top-quality metal structures. our unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction has positioned us as an industry leader. this has allowed us to become creators and distributors of buildings and products that people use to live, learn, worship, work, and play. job summary: we are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented warehouse picker to join our team at a leading steel building manufacturing company. the ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately picking a variety of accessories such as screws, bolts, and other components. additionally, this role will involve cross-training to work as a clips operator, punching holes in heavy-duty clips for metal buildings according to customer orders. the position requires physical stamina and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. key responsibilities: · accurately pick and prepare various accessories (screws, bolts, tape, etc.) based on customer (shop) orders. · ensure correct quantities and types of accessories are selected and packaged for shipment. · crosstrain to operate clips-punching machinery. · measure and punch clips based on customer specifications. · follow detailed work instructions to ensure quality and accuracy of clips punching. · perform repetitive tasks with precision in a physically demanding environment. · safely handle heavy materials and equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines. · keep workstations organized, clean, and properly stocked with necessary materials. · report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors and assist in resolving them. · work collaboratively with team members in the warehouse and cable operations areas. benefits: this is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off. requirements qualifications: · high school diploma or equivalent. · 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing environment. · ability to read and follow work orders and instructions. · experience operating machinery or a willingness to learn (specific training will be provided for clips-punching operations). · physical stamina: ability to lift, pull, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly. · strong attention to detail and accuracy. · excellent teamwork and communication skills. · ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
