3GH Ortho/Spine/Neuro/Telemetry- Staff RN- Full time Dayshift

Summary Job Description: Registered Nurse   Full-Time, First Shift   3G & H   3G & H is a 37-bed telemetry/medical surgical unit specializing in but not limited to orthopedic/neuro/spine patients. The unit serves as a secondary stroke unit as well as general cardiac/telemetry patients. The patients are transferred from PACU, ED, interventional areas, and direct admissions from MD offices.    The Registered Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, treatment, care coordination, patient and family education, and individualized care planning while supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges.   Job Description:     • The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.    • The Registered Nurse (RN) is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness.     • As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc.    Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:    • Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.    • Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.    • Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.    • Basic life support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.   • ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.   Benefits:    • Health, Vision, Dental and Pet Insurance   • Life Insurance   • Short Term and Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance   • Identity Theft Protection   • Tuition Reimbursement up to $6,000 annually    • Company paid Maternity and Paternity Leave    • 5 days of Paid Time Off available upon hire    • Bereavement Leave (includes pets)    • PTO Sell Back Program    • Compassionate Leave Sharing Program (PTO Donation)   • Employee Support Fund, for employees in need of emergency financial support    • Retirement with Company Match   If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!
