Private Funds Associate Attorney - Midlevel

Job Description: Ashurst Perkins Coie LLP is a leading international law firm and has been listed on Fortune’s Best Places to Work for 24 consecutive years.  We have created a dynamic firm culture that is based on collaboration, dedication to serving our clients, and mutual respect.  We are regularly recognized for a workplace culture where all employees have the opportunity to grow and reach their full potential.    We are seeking a private investment funds associate to join the firm’s Finance, Regulatory & Investment Funds (Global) group in the New York office.  Experience in the following areas is desired: (1) Structuring and formation of private equity funds, venture capital funds or hedge funds, including drafting of fund documents; (2) Negotiation with limited partners on behalf of fund sponsors; (3) Review of subscription documents; (4) Representation of private or institutional investors in their investments into private investment funds; (5) Structuring general partner and management companies; (6) Working knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.   Candidates should have solid academic credentials and 3 to 5 years of experience.  To be considered, please provide your cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and list of representative transactions.
